- The official name of Kyrgyzstan (Кыргызстан) is "The Kyrgyz Republic". 
 - It is also known as Kirghizia (in Russia). 
 - The "Kyrgyz" is believed to be Turkish word which means "Forty" and "stan" is a word in the Persian language meaning "Place of" or "Country of".
